Ingredients

  • Marshmallows (zero sugar, like those from ChocZero; visit them here: https://www.choczero.com/products/sugar-free-marshmallows-keto)
  • Food coloring (natural colors like Watkins; visit them here: https://www.watkins1868.com/products/baking-food-coloring)

Instructions

  1. Play with the ratio of dye to water. I find that 5 drops of dye to 1 tablespoon of water is a good place to start. Depending on the color – and also how intense or sheer of a color you prefer – you may use 10 drops or more.
  2. Using a toothpick, place marshmallow into one of the containers with dye. You can dunk all the way, or half-way in either direction, or diagonally, to give some variation. Hold for about 10 seconds. Remove, then shake gently to remove the excess dye and place onto paper plate to dry.
  3. Once the first round of colors are completed, dye the other sides of the marshmallows as you like. Allow to dry completely.
  4. Turn the marshmallow over and dye the other side as desired; dry completely. Store in an airtight container until ready to display or serve.
