Rebecca was born in New Orleans and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Louisiana State University. She began her career as a critical care nurse. She then accepted a position as a procurement coordinator with the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency. From there she came to the Ochsner Multi-Organ Transplant Institute where she has been for 22 years. She worked in all sections of kidney transplant but has been working with living kidney donors exclusively for the past 12 years. She is also a certified clinical transplant coordinator.
