Mauricio is a chef-turned-nutritionist who shares his passion for food and nutrition with all his patients and clients. He is a clinical registered and licensed dietitian nutritionist with experience as a chef, chef educator, nutrition educator and gardener. He works to educate groups including schools, restaurants, spas, catering organizations and workplaces. Currently he coordinates educational programs for Ochsner Corporate Wellness while also leading weight management programs and nutritious cooking classes. Mauricio also sees outpatient nutrition clients, providing practical counseling targeted toward chronic disease prevention and sustainable eating goals for health.
When he’s not talking about food and nutrition, you can find Mauricio playing volleyball or riding his bike around New Orleans.
