Jefferson G. Bohan, PharmD, BCPS

System Antimicrobial Stewardship Clinical Pharmacist

Jefferson Bohan earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Wilkes University in Wilkes Barre, Pa. and completed his post-graduate work at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta, Maine and at the Boise Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Boise, Idaho.

Jefferson specializes in infectious diseases with a specific focus in antimicrobial stewardship, understanding how to better utilize antibiotics to ensure treatment of infections while minimizing the risk of adverse effects and increasing resistance. He is a member of the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists, Infectious Diseases Society of America, HIV Medicine Association and American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Jefferson’s current role at Ochsner is the System Antimicrobial Stewardship Clinical Pharmacist.
