Dr. Jackie Ball is a Licensed Psychologist who specializes in the treatment of trauma-related disorders, depression, anxiety, emotion regulation difficulties, and associated symptoms. Dr. Ball received her graduate training at Louisiana Tech University and completed her predoctoral internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the New Orleans VA hospital.
Dr. Ball is committed to utilizing evidence-based psychotherapies, and she values being authentic in her clinical interactions with clients and providing a comfortable and safe treatment environment. Her primary theoretical treatment model is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), an approach that helps clients identify and change unhelpful patterns of thinking, problematic behaviors, and negative emotional responses. Dr. Ball has received extensive training and experience in specific forms of CBT, including Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma-related disorders, CBT for Depression (CBT-D), Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR), and CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I).
Additionally, after becoming a mother of two boys in recent years, she has developed a special interest in treating Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, as well as traumatic birth and perinatal loss, and is a member of Postpartum Support International.
