Dr. Notarianni, a New Orleans native, attended Louisiana State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. She subsequently attended Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, earning her medical degree in 2003. She went on to complete her Neurosurgical Residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport. She then completed a Pediatric Neurosurgery Fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Her current clinical interests include hydrocephalus, craniofacial disorders, congenital malformations, pediatric head trauma and tumors.

As a neurosurgeon with a specialty in pediatrics, Dr. Notarianni is the only pediatric neurosurgeon in the Shreveport-Bossier area and one of the foremost pediatric neurosurgeons in the state. Recognized for her compassionate care, she offers expert care in the treatment of children for a range of disease-related conditions as well as congenital or developmental problems that appear in infancy or early childhood.

Recently honored at the LSU Health Shreveport’s 2019 Evening for Healers, Christina Notarianni, MD, FAANS is currently the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport as well as a Professor and the Residency Program Director in the Department of Neurosurgery at LSU Health Shreveport.
