Ochsner 65 Plus offers a holistic approach to primary care to help older adults live longer and healthier lives. At Ochsner 65 Plus, patients are offered customized care to them achieve their health goals. Dr. Kerry-Ann Miller serves as the lead primary care physician at Ochsner 65 Plus – Covington and says, "Patients 65 and older have specific health needs that need a team-based approach.”

  • Access to dieticians, health coaches and fitness instructors
  • Occupational and physical therapists
  • Longer appointment times for initial visits and follow up visits

Ochsner 65 Plus is dedicated to helping older adults live active and healthy lifestyles with services specifically chosen to accomplish their goals. Physical activity is at the cornerstone of these offerings, as studies have shown mild to moderate physical activity can not only prevent injury but can also improve cognitive function. According to the CDC falls are the leading cause of fatal and nonfatal injuries in older adults. These falls are largely preventable through exercise and environmental changes.

Whether it's playing tag with their grandkids, reaching a new fitness milestone or just reducing the risk of falls, Ochsner 65 Plus exists to meet patients wherever they are in their health journey.
