Find Your Perfect Quarantine Hobby

Apr 20, 2020 |
Share Facebook Logo Twitter Logo Pinterest Logo Email Logo

Don’t let being stuck at home stop you from trying a new activity. Use this time to find a new hobby, enhance a skill or knock some things off your to-do list. Can’t decide where to start? Find out which quarantine activity will suit you best based on your zodiac sign below.*

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Aries are known to be the life of the party. You are a confident leader to the people around you but can’t be bothered with little details. You like the big picture and going over the top with anything you do. You are probably feeling the effects of quarantine more than most people, so try to liven things up by learning an epic new dance to show off once you see your friends.

Taurus (April 20 – May 21)

Taurus signs are resilient, artsy and patient, with a hint of stubbornness. The best activity for you is one that can be done over a prolonged amount of time. You aren’t looking for a small task that can be done in a day, you need something that will hold your attention for weeks on end. The perfect projects for you are ones that will keep you busy such as crocheting a blanket, knitting place mats or trying your hand at embroidery. Settle in with your needles and yarn because this one could take a while!

Gemini (May 21 – June 21)

Geminis are known as the chameleon of the zodiac signs because they can adapt to any situation. You are a jack of all trades and have probably run through a whole list of at-home activities by now, but try to hone in on one skill to excel at. The perfect activity for you is flower arranging. You can practice and get better with it over time and can also learn to do new arrangements depending on the different occasions, vase sizes and which flowers are in season.

Cancer (June 21 – July 23)

Cancers are in tune with their emotions and like to be the one to provide care and reassurance to their loved ones. Use this time to reach out via text, FaceTime, Zoom or snail mail to those you can’t be with. They’ll appreciate your time and effort and your heart will feel content and fulfilled.

Leo (July 23 – Aug 23)

Leos are confident, enthusiastic and love to be the center of attention. If you’ve ever thought about ramping up your fitness routine, now is the time! Channel that self-assured spirit into kicking your health into overdrive. Whether it’s biking, running or interval exercises at home, you have the willpower to go the distance during quarantine.

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sep 23)

Virgos are incredibly logical and systematic. You like paying attention to fine details and want anything you do to be practical. Spend your days putting together a new puzzle. Make sure it is one with a dual purpose, such as a beautiful picture that you can hang up as home décor after to really appeal to your Virgo heart.

Libra (Sep 23 – Oct 23)

Libras are the master of balance and charm, which makes trying a new recipe the perfect activity for you! You like following rules and recipes, as it speaks to your precise and cerebral nature. You like a task that can turn into something amazing and unexpected. Charm your friends and family by making an extra batch to leave at their doorstep for a sweet surprise.

Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 22)

Scorpios love to go all in with anything they do. They are passionate and emotional which means they make great creative writers. Take this time to journal your thoughts and dreams and see where the pen and paper takes you. Who knows, you could be the next great novelist by the time stay-at-home orders are up!

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 22)

Sagittarius signs are restless and enjoy endless adventure! While you can’t travel very far during quarantine, you can prepare for all of your future endeavors by learning a new language. Now is the perfect time to dive into learning everything about another culture so that one day you’ll seem like a local wherever your next trip takes you.

Capricorn (Dec 22 - Jan 20)

Capricorns are ambitious and have a “can-do” attitude. You are the ultimate worker bee and never back down from a challenging project. Use this time to mark a DIY project off your to-do list. Start a vegetable garden, give your home a makeover or upcycle a piece of old furniture – the possibilities are endless!

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 18)

Aquarius signs march to the beat of their own drum and enjoy eccentric activities. During this time at home, try learning how to play a new instrument – but not just any instrument, something unconventional like a ukele or pan flute. Your new offbeat (or hopefully on beat when you get the hang of it) hobby will boost your mood and impress your friends.

Pisces (Feb 18 – March 20)

Pisces are known for their creative and intuitive personality. Pisces are one of the more social signs, so the best way to channel your pent-up energy is through art. Grab your supplies and let your feelings take control. You just may be surprised by what you create!
