Dr. Sidharth Puri is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical management of diseases affecting the retina and vitreous (gel-like fluid in the eye). He is passionate about treating various retinal diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and inherited retinal diseases. He attended medical school at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He then completed his medical internship at the Florida Atlantic University, followed by a residency at the University of Louisville, where he served as chief resident and developed vision screenings for refugee populations. Following residency, Dr. Puri completed a two-year vitreoretinal surgical fellowship at the University of California Irvine.
Dr. Puri was born and raised and lives in New Orleans. He is married and has a son and two “fur babies.”
