Pediatric Hematology and Oncology
Dr. Robert Vasquez completed medical school at the State University of New York- Downstate Medical Center and his residency in Pediatrics and his fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the University of Chicago Hospitals. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. His basic science research focused on the regulation of the cytoskeleton and cell migration and the molecular basis of metastases. His clinical interests include adolescent and young adult oncology, stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies, sarcomas, neuroblastoma and rare solid tumors. He is director of the AYA program and the Pediatric Stem Cell Transplant Program.
