Dr. Guirguis earned his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University Cairo, Egypt. After completing a residency in internal medicine in his home country. Dr. Guirguis joined the Cleveland Clinic Foundation for a research fellowship in pain medicine and completed his residency in anesthesiology and clinical fellowship in pain management.
His treatment interests include evaluation of back and neck pain, interventional pain management for back and neck pain, with special interest in the management of spinal stenosis and vertebral compression fractures, cancer pain evaluation and management, neuropathic, neuropathic pain, pelvic pain, Neuromodulation and inter-spinal drug delivery of pain and spasticity, research, spine, spine pain
Dr. Guirguis is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA), the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (ASRA) and the International Neuromodulation Society
Dr. Guirguis has published numerous papers and book chapters as well as presented various studies and case reports on pain medicine at national and international meetings.
