Dr. Mermilliod specializes in dermatology and sees patients at Ochsner Medical Center - New Orleans. She is a native of New Orleans who received her bachelor of science in occupational therapy from Louisiana State University Medical Center. She then went on to graduate with honors (Alpha Omega Alpha) from LSU Medical School. She completed her dermatology residency at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans and is board certified in dermatology. She has been on staff at Ochsner since 2000 and was named chair of the dermatology department in 2006. Subsequently, she was named the system chair of the dermatology department in 2014. She is active in a variety of professional organizations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, Louisiana Dermatological Society and Women's Dermatologic Society. Her areas of interest include medical and surgical dermatology with a special focus in psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa, a painful condition in which bumps form under the skin.
