Dr. Veronica Gillispie-Bell is a Board Certified Obstetrician & Gynecologist who earned her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee in 2004. She went on to complete her residency training at Ochsner Health in 2008. During her training, Dr. Gillispie-Bell served as Administrative Chief Resident. She also received many accolades during her matriculation including Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures and the 2008 Alton Ochsner Resident Leader of the Year. Dr. Gillispie-Bell has served as the Louisiana Section Junior Fellow Vice-Chair and Chair for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). She currently serves as a member of the Committee on Healthcare for Underserved Women for ACOG.
Dr. Gillispie-Bell provides care to low and moderate risk obstetric patients as well as gynecology patients of all ages, especially adolescents. Dr. Gillispie-Bell has a special interest in advanced laparoscopic procedures including total laparoscopic hysterectomies, laparoscopic adnexal surgery, hysteroscopic procedures, and office surgical procedures.
Dr. Gillispie-Bell is both very dedicated and passionate about education. She serves as the Associate Program Director for the OB/GYN Residency program and is the Program Director for Obstetrics and Gynecology for The Ochsner Clinical School/University of Queensland, Australia.
