Updesh Bedi, MD, is an interventional cardiologist at Ochsner Health. He received his undergraduate degree and medical degree from Government Medical College in Patiala, India. Dr. Bedi completed his internship and residency at Mount Sinai and Veterans Affairs Hospital in Chicago. He completed his fellowship in interventional cardiology at Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans in 2013. Dr. Bedi is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions and has been on staff at Ochsner since March 2019. Dr. Bedi's expertise include: percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty, stent placement, rotational atherectomy, vein graft interventions, embolic protection devices, peripheral vascular interventions inclusive of angioplasty and stenting, aortic valve replacements, balloon aortic valvuloplasty, pacemaker placement and IVC filter placement. Dr. Bedi is also certified to perform transesophageal echocardiograms and stress tests.
