Dr. Sunni Primeaux is a Louisiana native who completed her undergraduate training at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and earned a PhD in clinical psychology from Southern Illinois University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship as well as her post-doctoral fellowship at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Primeaux serves as the program director of the Ochsner Mental Wellness Program, an intensive outpatient program for people facing mental health challenges requiring more intensive treatment than traditional outpatient therapy. She is also a coordinator for the Brief Evidence-Based Psychotherapy Clinic, which specializes in offering short-term manualized treatments. Dr. Primeaux provides individual and group therapy for adults relating to stress, depression, anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain and other medical-related issues. She also offers non-forensic psychological evaluations including pre-surgical assessments and adult ADHD assessments.
