Lauren Elder, MD

Dr. Elder is my new doctor since my old doctor retired. She reviewed all my records and made new recommendations regarding my condition and medications. She was never rushed and gave me her full attention answering all my questions. I left feeling grateful that she will be taking care of me now.

Dr Elder is an awesome provider , she’s very thorough and always has a listening ear. She takes her time to explain everything in detail . She’s not quick to want to prescribe medications . Thanks Dr Elder keep up the great work and you’re definitely an asset to Ochsner Health System !

Excellent. Very thorough and explains all option. Explains details of what test and prescriptions are for. Also explains why things are not needed.

I stumbled upon Dr. Elder out of necessity a few years back. I showed up with 3 pages of documents I had kept about my symptoms. She read through them all, asked a lot of questions, and then ordered up the necessary bloodwork. She had an idea what my issue was and turns out she nailed it. I have continued to go back to her since. I feel she listens and also lets me have an opinion on my care. There is nothing more frustrating than a condescending provider. Dr. Elder is not like that at all.

Everyone is always nice, and they should they care, keep up the good work. Dr. Elder is a caring person glad she's my PC DR.

Dr Lauren Elder is very attentive to your answers and asks a complementary amount of questions to understand how you are and what is going on. She does not rush her appointment with you like other doctors did in my past experiences. I highly recommend Dr Elder.

Excellent Doctor! Very thorough and shows concern

R Elder filled in for my primary care provider. I called appointment desk tonset up virtual call and was able to get an appt time within 10 minutes of my call. Dr Elder had an excellent bedside manner and was very professional and easy to talk to. I had my meds within an hour after they were sent to the pharmacy.

Dr. Elder is a fantastic primary care physician. She is professional and compassionate. She always takes whatever time is necessary to address your concerns and never makes you feel rushed. She demonstrates both patience and knowledge in answering any and all of your questions. I highly recommend Dr. Elder and the entire friendly staff in her office.
