Dr. Kathleen Freeman is a native of Baton Rouge and graduated from the LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport in 2008. She is board certified in Family Medicine and has additional certifications from the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine and the Hospice Medical Director Certification Board. Dr. Freeman has spent her career treating complex patients with multiple chronic diseases, providing comfort care to hospice patients, and treating primary care patients with an integrative, wellness-based approach. She has a passion for preventive medicine and teaching lifestyle habits that keep us living better, longer. Dr. Freeman is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society and a recipient of the Tulane School of Medicine Owl's Club Award for teaching. She loves what she does and considers the opportunity to work with her patients a true privilege.

Her primary philosophy of care is that it is essential to treat each patient as a whole person. She says she knows "that there is much more to achieving good health than can be found in lab values and test results. I am passionate about educating my patients and my community on the positive impact new lifestyle habits have on our health and well-being. I have learned that my goals as a physician must be aligned with my patients' goals for us to have a successful partnership. With that in mind, I work together with my patients to identify and help meet their personal wellness objectives."
