Joseph Biggio, MD

System Chair, Women's Services; System Chair, Maternal Fetal Medicine

Dr. Joseph Biggio is an obstetrician & gynecologist who practices at Ochsner Baptist in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Biggio earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology as well as a combined fellowship in maternal fetal medicine and clinical genetics. He has also earned a Master’s of Science in Healthcare Quality and Safety from the UAB School of Health Professions. 

Maternal fetal medicine (MFM) physicians, or perinatologists, are subspecialty-trained obstetricians who specialize in high-risk pregnancies, to ensure a healthy outcome for the mother and the baby. Dr. Biggio currently serves as System Chair of Women's Service Line and System Chair for Maternal Fetal Medicine.
