Daniel Larriviere, MD
Residency Program Director, Division of Neuromuscular Medicine
Dr. Daniel Larriviere earned his Law Degree from Southern Methodist University and went on to earn his medical degree in 1998 from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Neurology and his Fellowship in Neurophysiology at the University of Virginia. He also completed the Greenwall Fellowship in Bioethics and Health Policy at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. His clinical interests include neuromuscular disease, electrophysiology, and bioethics.
He joined Ochsner in 2011 as the Residency Program Director and the Vice Chair for the Department of Neurology. Dr. Larriviere is actively involved in the American Academy of Neurology, where he served as the Chair of the Ethics, Law and Humanities Committee, a joint committee of the Academy, the Child Neurology Society and the American Neurological Association. He is also a long-standing faculty member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
