Dr. Panunti earned her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine Washington, D.C. She completed her residency in internal medicine and her fellowship in endocrinology at Tulane University School of Medicine, New Orleans.
Dr. Panunti joined the Ochsner Clinic Foundation in 2006. She practices endocrinology at Ochsner Medical Center - New Orleans on Jefferson Highway and at the Tchoupitoulas site.
Dr. Panunti is part of the endocrine multidisciplinary clinic delivering a team approach to endocrine disorders that may require both medical and surgical treatment. She specializes in transgender care and helped develop Ochsner’s Transgender Patient Care Physician Training Modules, Ochsner’s EPIC transgender toolkit and a gender clinic.
Dr. Panunti is board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology and holds memberships in the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, World Professional Association of Transgender Health and the Endocrine Society.
