Dr. Aaron Hanyu-Deutmeyer is an ACGME-trained interventional pain medicine physician with a passion for improving the quality of life for his patients. After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Houston, he attended medical school in Arizona. He then completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency training at the prestigious Northwestern Medicine's Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital where he also served as Chief Resident, and completed his subspecialty training in interventional pain medicine at the nationally-renowned UC Davis Pain Medicine Fellowship Program.
Dr. Hanyu takes a holistic approach to pain management with a strong belief in the body's ability to heal itself. He achieves this by providing compassion, support and education during one of the most difficult times in a patient's life. Whether your personalized treatment plan consists of physical therapy, medication, mindfulness or interventional techniques, Dr. Hanyu will be there to support you each step of the way and help you regain control of your life.
Dr. Hanyu has strong personal interests in sports medicine, ultrasound and using neuromodulation as a non-opioid form of treatment. During his free time, Dr. Hanyu likes to spend time with his wife and dogs exploring the great state of Louisiana. He also enjoys hiking, swimming, traveling and trying out new restaurants.
