Dr. Joseph Keen is a surgical oncologist with a focus on neurosurgery at Ochsner MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Keen received his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Maine and completed his neurosurgery residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center in southern California. He completed an enfolded skull base fellowship with Dr. Johnny Delashaw at Swedish Neuroscience Institute in Seattle, Washington. He completed a post-residency, CAST-approved Neurosurgical Oncology fellowship at Emory University under Drs. Jeffrey Olson and Nelson Oyesiku, where he honed his interest in vestibular schwannomas and the endoscopic treatment of pituitary tumors. Dr. Keen's current practice involves a mix of cranial and spinal neurosurgery with academic interests in neurosurgical oncology and utilizing minimally invasive approaches for both spinal and cranial pathology.
